    Re: pakistan's chances

It is not his fault he has been told not to talk about it, and he is not the only one!

EVERYONE should stop asking him the same questions. He will tell you when he is allowed!

vicky hi Big Smile you won't find it because it was removed.

I can't tell you the ins and outs of why but lets just say it wasn't authorised for release.

It's confirmed now anyway, Pakistan will miss Chengdu and Sepang and will return at Taupo (as will Germany).

    Re: pakistan's chances

this is very disappointing Adam has let us down i dont think that it is the chasis problem three other teams have not even tested their chasis yet they are going to china i think that Adam is concentrating in euro 3000 and after its completion he will race for Pakistan and this is the only reason i can see of not taking part in the next two races

    Re: pakistan's chances

    Dear All,

It would be better to first read the below news on A1GP site before any comment about A1 Team Pakistan & Adam Khan:

    **************************

    A1GP teams for next events
    -->
A1GP Chengdu, China is the next stop on the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport Season Four calendar, and the final freight and chassis for the event will leave the UK on Saturday.

The cars for A1 Teams Great Britain, India and Mexico will be on the plane to join the 17 others that raced in Zandvoort, but A1 Team Pakistan will have to miss the next two races in China and Malaysia while the A1GP Powered by Ferrari car is readied for its seat holder and driver, Adam Khan.

The problem arose after the chassis did not provide the 23-year-old with a comfortable and, therefore, safe racing environment.

“Not every driver is the same height and, while Adam is perhaps taller than average, he is no different to some of the world’s successful racing drivers. It is just unfortunate our chassis needs changes to be made to it to allow Adam to race to the best of his abilities," said A1GP CEO, Pete da Silva. "These will be made and we look forward to seeing his Season Four race debut in Taupo.”

Adam will, however, be attending the next two races and will be working alongside the series PR and productions teams. Not only will he be able to give a driver’s eye view of the action, but also in Chengdu use his Mandarin to keep the Chinese fans updated in their own language.

The other team that will have to wait until A1GP Taupo, New Zealand on 23-25 January 2009 to appear on the track is A1 Team Germany. The 2006/07 champion is undergoing a management restructure with Rolf Beisswanger, who has a vast knowledge of motorsport having worked in it for many years, becoming team principal.

“This is an exciting time for us and I am really looking forward to it," he said. "We are now working hard on finding new partners and sponsors. We have long term plans for A1 Team Germany that will take us into Season Five and beyond.”

    Best Regards,

    Re: pakistan's chances

    Dear All.

Sorry for no reply... I think you guys have to give us a chance to reply to your questions...

Somtimes I am in a dead-lock so I cannot say or tell you things that I want too... Obviously someone is monitoring these forums and decide what goes on and what does not... so whats the point of having a real forum... perhaps we should use the forum mclaren mercdes has got up on his site, that way any news or updates cant get deleted...

But anyway, keep your hopes up and high, I am sure we will do our best to entertain you guys and as I said before, will keep you updated on the new livery of Team Pakistan.  I will post some images up soon and will send you a link to the site.

In the meantime, keep the forum clean ;)

I still plan to bring the A1 Car to Pakistan and race through the streets... however I might spice it up a bit by adding some additional racing pedigrees to the street parade! I am working on stuff that will be of keen interest to many of you.

    Enjoy the race.

    Regards

    K.

    Re: pakistan's chances

Mr Khan is 10 points away from clinching his first championship of his motor racing career in F3000 Euroseries with two races to go. Although a faded out series with no more than 10 drivers on the grid, It will nevertheless be an acheivement considering he started in it late. I would presume this would be his first priority, to win this championship whilst a new A1 car is built....

    Re: pakistan's chances

I would like to put the record straight. I am in Chengdu, and Adam Khan is here as well. I spoke to one of his friends, who is here from Pakistan.

    1. Adam would not travel to Chengdu if he was not serious about A1GP, so I am sure that this is his priority.

    2. It is absolutely true that he does not fit in the car. Robert Doornbos said in an interview at the circuit this afternoon that he only just squeezes in it, with no room to spare. I also spoke to Adam Carroll, who said even he would like more space if possible. And he is about a foot shorter than Adam!

Sometimes you need to believe information given and not always be cynical.

    Re: pakistan's chances

    PK786,

Good point you made in regards to F3000 being a faded series, however Massa, Alsonso, Schumacher and Heidfeld all came from the Euroseies3000 and i believe that this would be a credible championship to win along with heritage attached to it. Looking at Prost in A1 in Chengdu i believe that Adam will kick arse and leave all these drivers for dust. I can not wait until Adam Khan gets in that seat, because he will make history and show his talent off by win majority of the final races.

    Regards
