    Re: Please change Driver

    Hello,

Omer Yunas, U told that we can visit meritus.com to furthur know about u, but when i visited it there was nothing about u rather then ur personal info. and the thing u told that Adam Khan and Nur Ali were lapping u a second down in each lap, during a race at Sepang or whatever, do u have any reference aur link to this scenerio, i m not criticizing u but it would have been better, and I hope u will represent Pakistan in A1GP because Nur Ali never amazed me during the whole season(finishing in 10th place though being the ninth car on the track 2 finish) as much as Adam did but after that case of Adam not being a Pakistani he cant make it any more. Hope u will make it to the season but do u think Nur Ali will allow u to race because he himself is the part of the racing body. What do you think? and one thing Nur Ali is a Pakistani and lives in Texas and i think he must be having the American Passport as well so how come he can represent Pakistan though possessing American Nationality and what is ur status that u also live somewhere else and call urself a Pakistani?

hoping 4 reply from Omer Yunas

    Re: Please change Driver

Well if that is the case there must be something wrong with the website and well let me explain you about what i said that i was faster then both of them.

I think it was in march this year when i was testing a FBMW car at sepang and then i was comparing my lap times with former drivers who have driven the same car there and i found on the data that nur and adham had driven this car few months before me and they were almost 1 second slower then me so if you dont believe it still then i got no more explanation as i think this is enough

I am a pakistani and i live in pakistan and i also have a pakistani passport only! and i dont think that nur ali is the part of the racing body as i have been contacted by team pakistan so lets hope i get the drive this year and then i will surely try to win but i know that would be very difficult! and thx for your interest in me and supporting me to be the next driver.

    Re: Please change Driver

hey Omer. Good job on ignoring the questions i raised the other day in the post. Like the blogger Heartrulz, I went to meritusracing.com also and found nothing but of a picture of you. But then you came back and blamed the mistake of teh website. What miskate were you talkinh about? The mistake that meritusracing.com didn't put up any results besides your pic or the miktake you forgot to mention to us that there isn't any mistake, but probably in fact from what I am reading now is that you do not have any racing experience at all.

If u did have something to backup such as a resume, beside the picture, you would have done that by now and not blame the website. Wesbites such as meritusracing.com would not make a big mistake of leaving someones racing profile off. Everyone else on the website has a bio of racing, besides you. How come you didn;t notice it yourself? And it seems you have to keep explaing yourself everytime.

Soo let me ask once again from my previous post: Omer what is your track record or racing history? What have you competed in and where are the results? what have you done before? If the Speang drive is all you have done and not sure if that was done at all by you cause there isn't anything out there for us to read or see, then waht else besides Sepang have you done?

And from my previous post i didn't ask what your future plans are in september october and november of 2007, 2008, 2009,.... but what your expericne is and what you have done bvefore?

And by the way, i am a Canadian Pakistani living in Canada. I have duel nationality, meaning 2 passports. what does Nur Alii's passport have to do with anything or racing? he is born in Pakistan and unlike the first season where a non-pakistani drove the car all year and we all somehow got fooled by Adam and team Pakistan, nur drove as a pakistani and has been for almost a decade in his professionl racing career from the time i have been following him.

Many drivers in A1 live abroad, such as drivers from team Lebanon, China, Brazil, etc..... Wher esle would you expect Nur ali to live if there isn't any way to race or even practice at home in pakistan?

And don't forget that Nur ali was announced the first year and was supposed to driove, but instaed was taken out and Adam the non-pakistani was put in. Then i read an article about Nur, that he was called back last muinute without any preseason testing like adam. he then had to drive for Pakistan last year last minute without anytime in car. bascially in my opinion Nur Ali kept the team alive.. If he didn't drive last year, who else was out there from Pakistan? No one! So lets have some heart for Nur Ali......

I wish the best to Nur ali and any others that are truly legit with experince, not just talk and nothing to backup with.

    Re: Please change Driver

Man Zafar, what is your problem? Write a novel somewhere else!

Omer, ignore these jackals and go for it! Drive your Country proud, because you won't please people like Zafar very easily. Good luck.

You see Zafar, in A1 GP a team may run more than one driver, and keeping that in mind, perhaps it would be best not to discourage the young drivers! What are you a close friend of Nur Ali or his family or something? Man!

With countrymen like Zafar no wonder there aren't very many  Racers from Pakistan!

Come to think of it Zafar, how do we know YOU are even Pakistani? Huh? Prove it! Or are you all talk?

    Re: Please change Driver

Well you better shut up and i checked with meritus they told that they havent upgraded the site since last 1 or 2 months thats why it deos not show my race history and that i did not provided them with my race bio 1 or 2 months a go so for you to better shut up is better as i would be launching a web site in next two weeks where you could see all the past history and if you still dont believe that then you better get lost!

I hope i get the drive this year so that i could beat nur ali straight up and then you could in the end of the year compare my results with that of nur ali's which were a shame to pakistan

So better watch what you type the next time Zafar and thanks dean martin!

    Re: Please change Driver

Hey Dean Martin. No i am not writing so much because i like it but asking questions which should be asked and no one is. And no i don't know Nur Ali  but have kept up with his racing for sometime. Its unfortunate that people and wannabes like Omer disrespect in my opinion and according to President Musharraf of Pakistan "pioneers of motor racing" such as Nur Ali. And calling Nur ali shame to Pakistan, that is not right as he has been racing as a Pakistani for almost a decade in his career and there should be some respect to him as the first professional pakistani driver in the world. it doesn't matter what he has done in A1GP or not, no one knows the circumstances what may have happened when he was brought in. people forget he was announced as the first driver for team Pak and then was out becasue of Adam, don't you think that must have been tough for anyone and then come back to the Team without any testing and just being thrown back in.

i know this stuff because i saw an interview of Nur ali on Indus sports last year back stating that it was tought on him as a person to be thown out and then to come back and keep the team alive, the same team that put up a non pakistani driver the first year.

Like I said, i am a supporter of Nur Ali and have follwed him, but i support any Pakistani drivers that have record, not just talk.

Just read in Dawn Newspaper a few days ago. check it out: http://www.dawn.com/2007/08/04/spt18.htm

You are telling me to shut up, that means you are being defensive and very unprofessional in my opinion and I would never then want you to represent me or my country of Pakistan if that is your attitude toward fans. If you cannot even take these questions and get upset like a child calling me to shut up, what will you do in the future?

and you said you will have a website up in a few weeks with your racing bio and history, but anyone can do that. Where are the results and information NOW at this time on the internet?

Dean it not wanting to please me, i am just a motorsports fan, but its people like me who test the charactertistics of people such as Omer which give you a true understanding of that person.

    Re: Please change Driver

    Omer,

Though Nur's record in A1 was pretty bad, he's still working toward something better for Pakistan, and is NOT a shame to his homeland. I would expect apologies would be in order, wouldn't you?

    Zafar,

I am also a supporter of Nur Ali, and hope he has better opportunity to showcase his skills to the A1GP community. He has progressed well in other series and is due some respect. As to your comment that Omer Younas has no proof of his ability... just wait a minute man. I can see now that you are skeptical as a result of the Adam Khan deception. But if you read the meritus racing site carefully you would have noticed that Omer was born in 1988 making him only 19 years old! Tell me, with the low level of money and participation in motorsport in Pakistan, just how much experience and statistics would we expect such a young man to have? Let's use a little patience and see what Omer can do going forward and then you will have your proof ok?

I hope in the future Team PAK will improve, with Nur Ali and other drivers.

    Re: Please change Driver

    Yaar bhai Zafar,

I agree whatever ur saying, but on the contrary why dont u give a chance to Omer, let him launch his site, then you can give your verdict, yeah i too believe statistics are necessary but can't u wait for two weeks,(hope they r not as long as promised by Politicans in Pakistan Yeah Omer!)Its too early to xpect something big from Omer as he is just 19,mind you as Nur Ali hasn't also bagged big victories or trophies yet and if so, he hasn't been persistent through out his seasons,Im also a Fan of Autoracing and I too keep a track of Nur Ali's performance(u must be a regular visitor of alimotorsports),So please Keep patience and Hope for the best! and by the way why can't Pakistan team have two drivers one can be a Rookie as well. And by the way Omer has proved that he is a racing driver, other wise why would meritus put is name on their site, and if meritus has sponsored him they must have seen some talent in him, So please be patient and Let Omer launch his site

    Aur bhai Omer,

you have proved that you are a true Pakistani,(jo app na temperament khoya hai usi sa pata chal gayaBig Smilekahin app Pathan to nahi!)(main na Urdu main is liye likha hai so that yeh baqi na samjh pain apni izat bhi koi cheez hai bhai),I wasn't xpecting this from you and Hope an apology, The above reply is projecting a negative aspect on you, so please,it would be better to apologize, If u are true, then you can prove him and show ur statistics right up his faceStick out tongue,so hope you will launch your site in two weeks time........and I hope for your best........and after proving your self you may represent Pakistan! Dont worry just keep on raising the Pakistani Flag Higher and Higher and if Nur Ali is doing the same then I wish him luck too because our main concern is Pakistan and calling him Shame to homeland is rude too.

    Hoping for an Apology soon!

Omer, If you were contacted by Pakistan A1GP team, they must have mailed you, then you can show us that e-mail, but if they contacted you on phone then........nothing can be done until u launch your site.because being contacted by team Pakistan would be enough to proof to Zafar.I hope so!

Hoping for Positive replies from both Zafar and Omer!

    Re: Please change Driver

Errr...thanks for that insight into the team Pakistan driver lineup Schumigirl... Well well well despite some people stating some nonsense like Adam Khan not being Pakistani and being banned from A1GP, it turns out that it wasn't the case at all. Shows what rubbish some uninformed people write on this forum and how people should think a bit first. Good luck to Adam Khan, Nur Ali, Omer Younis and anyone else who might drive for Pakistan in the future. Lets hope they get the support they deserve and that A1GP can develop some popularity in Pakistan without the silly sniping that has happened in this forum up to now. Time to get over it and enjoy season 3!
