Re: Germany get a new driver!

    Guys

Ammermüller is a very quick driver and maybe very talented in giving his team the needed
feedback for setting up a car, but there's one thing is bothering me very much about him,
speaking about the colission with Holland, the guy behaves in a very arrogant way, I don't know
this is a cover up being unsecure, or he is just like that.

Ofcourse you need to have a way of arrogance of being quick around the track and
daring to overtake somebody, but this was not it suppose to be...

Like proposed before to ban him or punish him are really redundant, because
its so obvious he will be automatically be punished by the marshals on the spot,
and 90% of the accidents he takes himself out.

My conclusion is: when you see this guy drive on the track behind somebody
and just brake too late that can mean three things, hes pushing too hard, he's reckless
or he's too unexperienced. I would say its a mixture of those three together.

Ammermuller is just not capable of shouldering any blame for his accidents. It is and will ALWAYS be everyone else's fault.

Hi, thx for your comment. i aggree complete with you. offcoursse my reaction might have been to strong, but it was AGAIN  Michael, and again with our dutch car! So, maybee I responded to fast, but Im glad there is a nice discussion going on now. I think a point reduction penalty would do.

Re: Germany get a new driver!

I should admit that Ammermueller suprised me with his 'habitation' hitting other car *lol*

But well... we didn't know what's really happened there, everybody have their own version...
and I have no idea what's Ammermueller's problem....maybe his racing style wasn't that 'fit' with A1GP car?? or he just 'calculation missed'??

The rising eyebrow's thing was he did that not only once, not twice but fourth times...
At Sepang he did it 3 times and it's all in the same turn....
I was there and I just could say "what did he do?"

    Ps.
Btw.... it's a 'funny' comment from Jeroen Bleekemolen on interview... very bold statement there.

Re: Germany get a new driver!

I could start with a statement of fact.  But I wont.

Let us all look at the facts of this driver.  At this point I could insert a list of all the things he's done wrong.  I could list all his responses.  I could not argue that it's not a team sport.  I could argue that this is sport.  I could sudgest the idea of sportsmanship.

I will not list this drivers errors.  We all can see the obvious.  Some may be open to debate.  Most are clear.

With age he will learn how to respond to his errors.  With age we all learn this ability.

Motorsport at A1 level is a Team sport.  The driver may be the front man but the 'band' is made up of so many people who make the Team work.

If you involve yourself with sport then you have to muster 'sportsmanship'.  My opinion is that this young German driver does not invest himself in this.

    That is my statement.

Re: Germany get a new driver!

after some races, I really hope Mr Weber will find another better driver for Team Germany.. Ammermuller is -somehow- quite fast but he did so many mistakes in short time

Nico Hulkenberg is Williams' test driver!
