    Re: pakistan's chances

    vicky:
makman and kiwi try to be rational only being at the race and actually racing are two different things Adam was in china but not racing so just being there is not justifying ur statement try to use ur minds

Well Vicky next time you visit the paddock of an A1GP event let me know and I will introduce you to the drivers and Team Pakistan team member that I PERSONALLY SPOKE TO in Chengdu about it.

You seem rather confused considering that your previous post said he was not available, when in fact he was there! I would like to see you try to justify your own statements before telling other people to use their minds, but of course you can't.

    Re: pakistan's chances

ya kiwi i can see who is confused by availability i meant availability to drive for the team which is not there and last year when Adam was selected for the GP2 asia he only raced once and then refused to do so as he stated that it is difficult to race in two different setups and he is doing the same this year just concentrating on one format rather than two of them so again use ur mind kiwi

    Re: pakistan's chances

i hope that khan wins the Euro 3000 series before coming to A1gp. He is behind by 10 points from the championship leader. He is racing really well and has already finished on the podium. The euro championship is going to help his confidence alot in competing in this format.

    Re: pakistan's chances

Actually vicky is right about khan. Khan is busy in euro 3000 he doesnot have much time to prepare the car or do the testing. He just comes on the race day to enjoy the race and gather some info on the performance of the car.

    Re: pakistan's chances

    Hi Kiwi3,

You should look into what Adam is doing and ill think you'll find out that Euroseries (F3000) is the main series. Your right in saying that gp2 has replaced it but it still carries weight. Plus i am really confident that when Adam fits in the car he will dominate. And i have read your past comments on Adam's future regarding F1, never judged a book by it's cover. Who really knows what goes on behind doors? why did Adam become the seat holder? who's really behind him? where is he going? what other plans does Mr Khan have? all question which we do not have. At the current time hes the BOSS. So let's sit back and watch.

    Re: pakistan's chances

    Hi Adnan, Hope your well.

I think if you would want to be part of the A1 Team Pakistan  you would most probably need to hold a budget in order to be a rookie driver and also have some background on driving. My understanding is that Motor sports is a very expensive sport and is cost a heck of a lot. Hope this might help.

    Re: pakistan's chances

The difference is the level of development. Last year, the teams ran their Lola-Zyteks for the 3rd time in Sepang. In the first year with the new Ferrari, they race similar lap times. Now I think it will be going a lot faster next year.

Take a look at the fastest times of each qualifying session so far:

    2005/06 - Lola-Zytek
    Q1 - Team SUI - 1:54.441
    Q2 - Team SUI - 1:54.521
    Q3 - Team LEB - 2:21.118 (wet!)
    Q4 - Team INA - 2:17.682 (wet!)

    2006/07 - Lola-Zytek
    Q1 - Team SUI - 1:51.508
    Q2 - Team NZL - 1:51.433
    Q3 - Team GER - 1:52.017
    Q4 - Team INA - 1:52.521
2-3 secs win in 1 year!

    2007/08 - Lola-Zytek
    Q1 - Team SUI - 1:49.003
    Q2 - Team SUI - 1:48.630
    Q3 - Team SUI - 1:48.425
    Q4 - Team Sui - 1:47.648
    another 4-5 secs win!
The slowest car in Q4 was Team LEB (1:51.161 - that's faster than pole position in 2006/07!)

    2008/09 - Ferrari
    Q1 - Team FRA - 1:49.173
    Q2 - Team SUI - 1:47.154
    Q3 - Team IRL - 1:48.555
    Q4 - Team IRL - 1:47.124 (on powerboost)
Slightly faster than in the final Lola-Zytek year. Next year we can expect the teams to be at least 2 secs faster, because the teams know better how to set up the car by then.

    Re: pakistan's chances

Khan is not fast in Euroseries at last round. 4 seconds off leading pace in practice sessions and sixth for main race. Not Good
