I'd agree with that. I think the Pakistan car looks quite nice this year.
The Netherlands car is appalling this year. It's like it was painted for a computer model but they left the wireframe layer on. Ugly, ugly, ugly. The good old plain orange was a better base. Just adding the flag colours to that like they wanted would have been fine.
I miss the dragon from the nose of the Chinese car. That was pretty cool, the way it went all the way into the radiator inlets.
I had liked the gold effect on the Singapore car (remember them?), and the gold nose on the Russian car (remember them?).
I preferred the silver version of the Switzerland car over the "oh look! the Alps!" design of this year.
As for our Team USA car, well, it's about what one would expect with the flag design. The only improvement I would make is adding a row of stars up the nose. Not only would that better match the flag where the stars are within the blue field, but it would create the effect of a white line up the nose, reminiscent of the traditional national racing colours of the '60s, cf. Dan Gurney's Eagle in 1966-69.
Similarly, I think it would be great if Team GBR switched to a British Racing Green design with appropriate yellow trim... then maybe they'd look less like the French car -- particularly this year.
Hmm, do you suppose that Ferrari will apply pressure on Team Italy to get them to race next season not in their national sporting colour of blue, but the national racing colour of -- you guessed it -- red?
Canada's car is nice looking this year too, and South Africa. I think I liked Brazil's original design better, as it looked like their whole flag when viewed from above, but their new design isn't bad, either.
I guess I don't actually have a favourite.
