    A1GP balloon car

Great job Ron Wink Nice to see your balloon A1GP car on the site

Must have been a hard job to make such a big car. How many hours did you (and your companion ?) work on this piece of work? To bad that the weather wasn't good enough to bring your car allong. Else it would certainly be on (inter)national television ... in every cae it is already on the website of A1GP Big Smile

    Re: A1GP balloon car

Thank you very much and indeed it's very nice to see the car on the site!!

(I tried to upload a few pics, but that didn't work out)

    About the car:

We (Ron Ballon and Peer Atmosfeer) build the "first stage" it in about 32 hours and used something like 1100 balloons.

We had planned a to finish it at the racetrack, that would have taken a few hours as wel because the car still needed details like mirrors, exhaust-pipes steering wheel. We didn't quite get a 1:1 copy of the new racecar because there is hardly any technical data to be found, but came close!  The size of the car was (L x W x H) 420 cm x 220 cm x  100 cm. Big enough to "sit" in it!

And now of course the challange is still standing..... next year on Zandvoort a full size copy of the A1 racecar!  We now know that we can build it, the real challange seems to be getting it at the racetrack Wink
