So,.. who will likely be the winner?

Fairuz had proven something to the world that he can do it. But will he get the luck this week in Sepang??

Well, i just hope he will. Although I'm not going to be there, I just hope Malaysia can win its home race for the 1st time in 4 years.. :) But if he doesnt, i just hope Malaysia will still lead the championship. Sometimes, A1 can be very unpredictable.

what do u think?? who will win this week?

I have a hunch that Fauriz will score a podium.. but not a win.

Ireland, Portugal and Netherlands seem ahead of the pack. GBR and Switzeland are factors...

At this point, its more about who makes the most progress learning about the new car.

     My take [Feature]:

    1) Ireland

    2) Netherlands

    3) Portugal

Don't think the car will take much time for teams to get to grips with as it is so restrictive (regulations) that it will be down to driver skill and experience.. Think if Adam keeps his head he should be good.. Danny (UK) is solid as is Neil Jani (Switz). Philepe(Portugal) was a surprise and must go into the weekend wita lot of confidents..

I still think there is a learning curve for the car (for teams and engineers..). Driver skill still does not has full room to shine yet..

I think Jani is the most proven driver in the field, but the car is holding him back. Alburquerque raced before in A1, with not so great results. this year I think Team Portugal has been lucky with the car.

Teams that lack a consistent driver are going to fall behind in car development. I believe Netherlands and France will get stuck in midfield.

I really fancy our chances this weekend.

Adam has learned to"keep his head" as proven in Chengdu.

    this track will suit him.

    cant wait!

What development are you talking about.. Formula Renault has more scope for development... This is a good thing about A1GP. It makes the racing closer and more about driver skill and not who has the most experienced engineers and advanced (expensive) sim programmes. They have got it right with this car, it has the build quality of an F1 and looks great without the numerous setup variations which would lead to the cars being different from team to team. There is always a learning curve but its all about fine tuning now.....

Re: So,.. who will likely be the winner?

Hmm... i like this post...it should happen every race!

I perdict that SUI will win sprint for sure and since Adam has proven himself, IRL will win as well. The top five for the sprint will be:

SUI, FRA, NZL, POR and GBR, i dont think ITA will stay there.

For the feature: IRL, GBR, MAS, POR, NED. Sorry LEB supporters, i just dont think Morad will make the top 10, however, I AM ALMOST CERTAIN HE WILL SCORE POINTS!

with regards to my team...Hmm  we will be lucky if we score points...

    @Fast Line..

By development I just mean A1 building those cars and keeping them running. It has been painfull to see how it take them so long to build a car and get it up to speed. A1 seems to still be learning about how to use them. I believe teams are struggling in getting a feel of the new car.

Re: So,.. who will likely be the winner?

*) Pit stops add a new uncertainty factor to the Sprint race.

*) The new power boost qualifying manages to scramble the grid so that Sprint and Feature races now will be very different races.

     My Picks [Top 6]:

Sprint: SUI, FRA, POR, NZL, IRL, GBR, MEX, ..........  I jinx NZL and ITA's pit teams...

Feature: IRL, GBR, MAL, POR, IND, NED......... although watch out with Jani and Duval storming from the back of the field...
