    FANZONE EXCLUSIVE: A1GP Dashboard

    Dear A1GP Fans

We’ve been working on a little something special at A1GP.com – and as our most devoted fans – we’re going to give you an exclusive preview of what is to come.

It’s called A1GP Dashboard - and it is a real time telemetry and GPS-style system which will enhance your experience of the race.

It includes a real time map of where each car is on track – and the option of seeing the dashboard of any of the A1 Teams out on track at any given time.

It will be officially launched ahead of A1GP Taupo in January, but we’re going to make our beta version exclusively live for Fan Zone members on race day in A1GP Sepang.

Here is the link to access on raceday in Malaysia

Please tell us what you think of it in this thread. Be as specific as you like – please tell us what you think is great about it, and where you think it could be improved.

As I said, this is a beta version – and we will work as hard as possible to make this feature a success. And naturally, we’ll continue to work hard on more new features to improve your experience of A1GP.com

    Thanks

Did anyone use it for the Sprint? What did you think?

We are having internet connection problems here in Malaysia, so the service might be stop/start.

Would love to know any and every experience and thought you have.

    Thanks

    Tim

The map feature is awesome!!! Big Smile allows me to follow the whole race and my favorite backmarker nations Smile

I was actually on India's telemetry during the crach... so I knew all was over when the rebs went to zero...

    Re: FANZONE EXCLUSIVE: A1GP Dashboard

I like the circuit map feature to see where all the cars are. The telemetry is information overload in my opinion but perhaps other people like it.

I also always use the live timing. One suggestion is have the lap time for the last lap for each car instead of just their fastest lap. That way you can keep track of who is closing in on who easier.

I found the circuit map feature very good. I hope that this feature will be continued.

    Re: FANZONE EXCLUSIVE: A1GP Dashboard

Used the dashboard and it looks goodBig Smile.

What I noticed was that about 75% of the race the race the half of the dashboard "crashed", you couldn't see anymore who was driving where on the field (but as told there were some internet connection problems). Another thing was that sometimes the dashboard showed that drivers who came out of the pit were quicker than the one coming over the straight, but after the first measure point it was corrected. Except for those two things it really works fine and I'm going to use it for every race.

    Re: FANZONE EXCLUSIVE: A1GP Dashboard

Thanks for your comments everyone – please, please keep them coming.

We did have connection problems which would account for some of the errors, but what did you think when it worked properly?

    Thanks

    Tim
