Vitor Meira will be Team Brazil's main driver in Shanghai, and has a number of years experience in IndyCars.  The new rookie driver is Bia Figueiredo, and as far as I am aware the first female A1GP driver to take part in a race weekend.

in Dubai 2005, Katherine Legge tested for team GBR, and at Brno 2006, Jennifer Murray did the rookie session for team RSA.
